Saria Island
Dear Travelers,
We welcome you to embark on an exquisite journey departing from the port of Pigadia. Our vessel is scheduled to “set sail” promptly at 8:30 am, and we kindly request that you arrive at the port no later than 8:15 am to facilitate a smooth departure process. Upon our arrival in Diafani, passengers on scheduled trips to Olympos will kindly disembark, beginning the next part of their adventure.
The vessel will then navigate for a leisurely 45 minutes to the northern reaches of Karpathos, where the captivating Saria Island awaits. A splendid four-hour visit on Saria offers a plethora of engaging activities for those inclined to participate. Upon our arrival at Palatia Beach, Nick/Nikos our knowledgeable guide for the day, will lead us through the enchanting trails of South Saría, providing insights into the rich history of the region. A significant part of our journey includes a visit to the Pirates' Village, where Nikos will narrate historical events that unfolded in South Saría and Northern Karpathos. The stroll through the Pirates' Village promises a glimpse into the past (the tour will take place for about 30’).
Following this historical exploration, we will rest at the beach. Take the time to indulge in a refreshing swim and unwind against the backdrop of the beautiful surroundings.
Later in the day, Nikos will accompany us for a unique experience - a swim to Saría Cave. The underwater guided tour promises to be an intriguing adventure, offering a close encounter with the natural beauties of Saría Cave (for 20 minutes).
As the day unfolds, we will return to the ship for a well-deserved meal. Our journey will then conclude, departing for Diafani, reflecting on the memories and experiences gained during our exploration of South Saría and Northern Karpathos.
If, however, you do not want to participate in such activities, you are free to enjoy the pure beaches and crystal, blue waters that await those seeking a serene retreat.

As the sun descends, our vessel will embark on the return journey to Diafani. En route, we shall cross the passage known as "Steno" in Greek—a sea-wide opening in Karpathos that separates Saria from the rest of the island. The awe-inspiring landscapes promise to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, worthy of admiration.
In Diafani, passengers who have explored the enchanting Olympos will rejoin the vessel. Subsequently, the ship will initiate its direct voyage back to Pigadia.

Saria is a captivating Aegean island nestled in the Carpathian Sea, part of the Dodecanese archipelago. With an area of 20.4 sq.km and rising to an altitude of 631 meters, this island boasts stunning natural beauty. As of the 2011 census, the small settlement of Argos is home to just 45 residents, including 22 researchers dedicated to studying the Mediterranean seal. Accessible primarily sea, Saria is separated from Karpathos by the narrow "Narrow of Sharia," which is just 100 meters wide and .5 meters deep, making it a unique location for exploration.
